I like dystopian fiction so, I guess, this one is for me. I am currently reading Children of Men by P. D. James – life after fertility. The main character is almost me. I really enjoyed Margaret Atwood’s Handmaid’s Tale series – I really like the style. But, maybe the world is a little too real. And a Brave New World is an all time favourite.

So I am going for a classic – the Orwellian world of Airstrip One. It is such a dystopian classic but, maybe, a little close to the real world. Absolute worst? Maybe not! But one that well thought out by the author. I like the idea of newspeak. The Two Minutes Hate reads a little like some online content. (BTW: the movie is not as good as the book, methinks!)
Anyway …
